Ripley’s Eat a Cricket, Get a Ticket is back!

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium in Cavendish is offering free admission on June 1, but you have to be willing to eat a cricket first.

The first 25 people who come to Ripley’s on Saturday, June 1 and successfully eat a cricket will receive free admission that day. The crickets are whole and roasted, and available in three flavours: Sour Cream & Onion, Salt & Pepper, and Bacon & Cheese.

This is the second year for the offer. There was a lineup at the door at opening time, and only one person that wasn’t able to keep the cricket down.

“People were eager to eat these crickets,” says Matthew Jelley, president of Maritime Fun Group -PEI, the company that operates Ripley’s. “Believe it or not!,” he adds.
