Mariner’s Cove Boardwalk Welcomes Subway Cavendish

Mariner’s Cove Boardwalk in Cavendish is adding another leading international brand to their list of tenants. Cavendish’s Subway® Restaurant, locally owned by Irwin Dawson, will be relocating to the newly renovated space for this upcoming season.
“Cavendish was one of the first Subway® shops to open in Atlantic Canada, and we are pleased to continue to invest in the community,” says Chris Wright, Director of Operations with Subway® Restaurants of PEI. “Mariner’s Cove Boardwalk, with the option to expand our seating and update our store, provided a great opportunity to continue to grow.”
The Subway® location will feature its new Subway® Fresh Forward design which will offer guests an enhanced Subway® experience. In addition to the fully renovated restaurant, a new covered outdoor seating area will be constructed in front of the Subway® to accommodate patrons of the Boardwalk. The construction is currently underway.
Mariner’s Cove Boardwalk, operated by Maritime Fun Group, has expanded recently, growing from 7 to 17 different vendors in the past two years providing options for Fun, Fashion and Flavour.
“We are very excited to welcome Subway® to Mariner’s Cove Boardwalk,” says Matthew Jelley, President of Maritime Fun Group – PEI, the company that operates the boardwalk. “Subway® is a well recognized brand, and we feel our visitors will appreciate the fast and friendly service when feeding their families on their travels.”
The addition of Subway® adds to Mariner’s Cove Boardwalk’s dining offerings, which include Greco Pizza, BeaverTails Pastry, Islands Frozen Yogurt, Seaside Café (proudly serving Starbucks coffee) and The Ship’s Company Pub & Galley.
