Lifeguards

Available Dates: Mid-June to Labour Day | Wages: $18.00/hour for 25-48 hours/week

Required Experience: Current National Lifeguard certification is required. First aid training is provided for successful applicants if needed.

Job Description: The successful candidates will be responsible for working in our waterpark supervising aquatic attractions at Shining Waters Family Fun Park. Duties include closely supervising guests of all ages, monitoring behavior, enforcing facility rules and policies, and performing first aid when required. Candidates must be physically fit, friendly, and team-oriented. Current NLS certification and Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C are mandatory. Those needing to recertify any training must do so prior to starting the position and some courses can be arranged through Maritime Fun Group. This position is full-time, seasonal. Day, evening and weekend shifts are required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Slide Attendants

Available Dates: Mid-June to Labour Day | Wages: $17.00/hr (First Aid); $17.25/hr (Bronze Medallion); $17.50/hr (Bronze Cross) for 25-48 hours/week

Required Experience: First Aid Certification. Current Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross certification is preferred. First aid training is provided for successful applicants if needed.

Food and Retail Representatives

Available Dates: Mid-June to Labour Day | Wages: $16.50/hour for 25-48 hours/week

Required Experience: No experience required, however experience in customer service and cash handling are a definite asset. Ability to speak and understand French is also an asset.

Job Description: Successful candidates will be responsible for taking customer orders, food preparation, point of sale operations, cash handling, supply restocking, and cleaning.  Applicants must be honest, friendly, outgoing, dependable, able to work well as a team member.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Junior Ride Operator

Available Dates: Mid-June to Labour Day | Wages: $16.50/hour for 25-48 hours/week

Required Experience: No experience required, training will be provided.

Job Description: Successful candidates will be responsible for operating rides and attractions in the park and supervising customers as they enjoy the facility. Applicants must be friendly and outgoing, dependable, and able to stand outside for long periods of time. Applicants over 16 years of age should apply for a Senior Ride Operator. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Senior Ride Operator

Available Dates: Mid-June to Labour Day | Wages: $17.50/hour for 25-48 hours/week

Required Experience: No experience required, training will be provided.

Job Description: Successful candidates will be responsible for operating rides and attractions in the park and supervising customers as they enjoy the facility. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older, friendly and outgoing, dependable, able to stand outside for long periods of time. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Barista

Available Dates: Mid-June to Labour Day | Wages: $16.50/hour for 25-48 hours/week

Required Experience: No experience required, training will be provided.

Description: Successful candidates will be responsible for taking customer orders, food & drink preparation, point of sale operations, cash handling, supply restocking, and cleaning.  Applicants must be honest, friendly, outgoing, dependable, and able to work well as a team member. A valid Food Safety certificate is required.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Maintenance Mechanic

Available Dates: May-October | Wages: $20.00-$24.00/hour for 48 hours/week

Required Experience: Experience with small engines, welding, and general mechanical skills are preferred for these positions.

Job Description: The successful candidates will assist in the maintenance of our facilities, including inspecting, testing and repairing rides and general park maintenance. A strong background in one or more of the following: welding, small engine repair, machinery maintenance, electrical and electromechanical is preferred. Candidates must display a strong work ethic and have the ability to work unsupervised. This position is full-time, permanent seasonal (6 months). Day, evening and weekends shifts are required in peak season. Wages commensurate with qualifications and experience, starting at $20/hour. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Cleaner

Available Dates: May-October | Wages: $17.00-$18.00/hour for 48 hours/week

Required Experience: None required.

Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting amusement park and attraction washrooms, kitchen facilities and outdoor areas. Duties include sweep, mop and polish floors, pick up debris, empty waste containers, wash windows, walls and ceilings. Candidates must be able to work independently, take initiative, be detail oriented and able to stand/walk for long periods of time. This position is full-time, seasonal. Day, evening and weekend shifts are required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Carpenter

Available Dates: May-October or Year Round | Wages: $23.00-$27.00/hour for 45-48 hours/week

Job Description: Maritime Fun Group is accepting applications for individuals to assist in the maintenance of our various facilities. Individuals must display a strong work ethic and have the ability to work unsupervised.

We are looking for individuals with a demonstrated background in carpentry to construct, erect, install, maintain and repair structures. These positions can either be permanent seasonal positions or year round, depending on the preference of the successful candidate. Wages commensurate with qualifications and experience, starting at $23/hour. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Carpenter’s Assistant

Available Dates: May-October or Year Round | Wages: $21.00-$23.00/hour for 45-48 hours/week

Job Description: Maritime Fun Group is looking for a Carpenter’s Assistant for our Cavendish properties. Individuals must display a strong work ethic and have the ability to work unsupervised.

Job duties will include:

  • Load & unload construction materials
  • Remove, fill, or compact earth
  • Follow instructions from supervisors
  • Perform site clean-up
  • Help carpenters and other skilled labourers when necessary
  • Simple carpentry including, but not limited to, framing, sanding & panting

Candidate should have previous experience working in a similar setting. This position has the potential for year round employment, depending on the preferences of the candidate. Wages commensurate with qualifications and experience, starting at $21/hour. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Notes

 

This is not an exclusive rental, the facility will be open to other guests.

 

Rounds of laser tag are 7 minutes long, plus a few minutes in the vesting room.

 

If there are other guests in, your rounds will not be consecutive.

 

You can play as many rounds of laser tag as you can in the time allotted, and each package includes a minimum number of laser tag rounds

 

 

You may continue to play past the time to get your minimum number of rounds in. In a situation where you reach the minimum number of rounds, you may continue to play rounds (on your turn) until the time is up.

 

If you have to leave before you play your rounds there are no refunds.
