You’re on vacation and everyone in the family wants to go in different directions. The teens want to drive the go karts, but that leaves the little folks looking for something fun to do too. You’re in luck! Cavendish has something to do for every age group.
Try taking the little ones to Teddy Bear Village, then the older kids can go to Yippee’s Playcade, both located at the Sunset Boardwalk. Or check out the list of kiddie rides at Sandspit, while the teens in your group are at go karts.
Check out our suggestions for things to do for every family member while you are in Cavendish.
Things to Do for Toddlers
Teddy Bear Village
Pick out a bear (or any of the furry friends), pick out an outfit, customize a voice recording and add in some AromaBEARapy and you have a perfect activity for a child this age (or really any age!) Teddy Bear Village is located at Sunset Boardwalk from June – September.
Sandspit Kiddie Rides
Sandspit has several rides that are suitable for children under 36″ tall, including the Kiddie Cars, Kiddie Pony-Karts and Kiddie Airplanes. Children 36″ – 42″ can ride all those rides, plus more like the Helicopter, Carousel, and Landslide. Read through Sandspit Attractions List.
Shining Waters Family Fun Park Kiddie Rides
Shining Waters has a splash pad specifically for toddlers, that includes three different kiddie waterslides. Other rides and attractions for those under 42″ tall include Cavendish 500, Lenny’s Boats, and the Carousel. Read through Shining Waters Attractions List.
Things to Do for Elementary School Kids
Yippee’s Playcade
If you are looking for things to do in Cavendish for elementary school kids, load up a Yippee’s Playcade playcard with credits and try your hand at Crossy Road, Flappy Bird, Doodle Jump, Fruit Ninja, and up to 50 other arcade games.
The Hangar Laser Tag Arena
The arena booking requires a minimum of 4 people, so if they could grab a few other kids or siblings and parents can play too! Rounds are 25 minutes long. Book your spot here.
The Cannonbowl at Shining Waters Family Fun Park
OK, we know this is a specific ride, but have you ever seen the joy on a child’s face when they realize they have grown over the summer and now can wear that coveted Over 48″ bracelet? That bracelet means they can ride the Cannonbowl (affectionately known as the toilet bowl by elementary kids everywhere). The Cannonbowl is both a waterslide and a milestone.
Things to do for High School Kids
Pit Stop Karting
If your teens are looking for things to do in Cavendish, Pit Stop Karting is at Sandspit and the go karts are priced separately, so you don’t need to purchase admission to Sandspit to enter. Try unlimited racing on Race Night!
Crossfire Adventure Paintball
Tell your teen to grab some friends and book their paintball before they visit. Gear up, find your field and start the showdown.
Sandspit
More specifically, visit Sandspit in the evening. Once the sun sets, Sandspit turns into a magical place with the rides lit by their carnival lights. Sandspit is open until 10pm daily.
Things to Do for Moms
If mom needs some downtime, try Cocoon Wellness Spa at the Beach, located at Mariner’s Cove Boardwalk. She can pop over for a Caramel Macchiato at Seaside Cafe, then stroll along the boardwalk. When it’s time for family play time again, they’ll be rested and ready for the next adventure, whether it’s mini golf or rollercoasters.
Things to Do For Dads
Mini golf counts as golf right? Try one of the four mini golf courses in Cavendish. Then visit Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium to learn all kinds of neat facts you can later amaze your children with!
Enjoy your Cavendish visit!
